As an attorney in Pittsburgh, Mr. Foster has gained experience in most areas of the law. He is a veteran of two capital cases: one in which his client was acquitted and one in which his client, although convicted of two vicious murders, received life imprisonment rather than the death penalty sought by the prosecution. In fact, he has enjoyed success in most of his criminal and civil trials. Mr. Foster has also represented both landlords and tenants in their disputes; has represented both estates and disappointed heirs in probate matters; has successfully represented home owners against fraudulent sellers and shoddy contractors; has represented husbands and wives in all aspects of family law; has represented parents and children and fought CY&F in Juvenile Court; and has drafted, reviewed and negotiated contracts, both domestic and international. Besides his practice, Mr. Foster has engaged in various pro bono projects and has made time as a community volunteer. As part of his pro bono service, Mr. Foster represents abused and neglected children. His volunteer service involves the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Foster has served as Scoutmaster of Troop 23 Edgewood, PA for several years. An Eagle Scout himself, he also enjoys fly fishing and other forms of angling, camping, hunting, and other outdoor pursuits.  
Being a master negotiator and mediator, Mr Grubschmidt's practice focuses largely upon the representation of injured people. He attempts to prosecute their cases and represents them zealously, restricted only by the bounds of the law. In each case, large or small, he strives for the maximum return in the shortest reasonable period of time. He has represented, successfully, people injured catastrophically in falls and car accidents and those who discovered foreign objects in their food and thus were only minimally injured. Mr Grubschmidt has also represented criminal clients; has represented both husbands and wives in family law proceedings; has handled adoptions; has served as a mediator in divorces; has negotiated many win/win deals between litigants and business associates, and has successfully handled immigration cases. Additionally, Mr. Grubschmidt has extensive domestic and international business experience and is able to able to contribute a wealth of in-depth, practical business advice to the firm's clients. In fact, prior to working as an attorney, Mr. Grubschmidt earned a Graduate Gemologist degree in 1981 from the Gemological Institute of America. Thereafter, he worked in the wholesale jewelry import and manufacturing business for many years. Mr Grubschmidt is active within his Church, serving on the Vestry. He also enjoys membership in the Dicken's Fellowship, an organization that meets regularly to read and discuss the works of Charles Dickens. Biography: Brent J. Lemon Mr. Lemon was born and raised in northwestern Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of Allegheny College and the University of Oregon School of Law. Mr. Lemon joined the firm as an associate in 2000 and has become an integral member of the Foster & Grubschmidt team. A practiced legal tactician and negotiator, Mr. Lemon handles a wide variety of legal issues. He maintains an active practice in family law, personal injury, civil and criminal law. He also manages the bankruptcy work for the firm, as well as a significant portion of the civil rights and appellate practice. Mr. Lemons interests include music, whitewater rafting and golf.
